hello, i’m coach sam.

after battling a love/hate relationship with food for 30 years, i discovered the banting style of eating (LCHF) that gave me back my power over food .. and mood. i certified as a banting coach with Real Meal Revolution, using LCHF (low carb high fat) to mentor and change lives. i find it so rewarding to see the same transformation in others. i got more and more curious about nutrition and explored other eating styles, adding them to my coaching programs after
experimenting with them myself – keto, fasting, paleo, anti-inflammatory, low GI, FODMAP, carnivore.

nutrition coach – the knowing: after coaching dozens of men, women and teenagers, i noticed not everyone responds the same way. i began blending eating styles to curate personalised programs, encouraging my clients to
explore with me. we experiment to see how their body responds, and work towards consistently healthier choices and behaviours. i emphasise progress, not perfection. i also chose a general nutrition course with Precision Nutrition to broaden my knowledge outside of LCHF. i want to challenge my LCHF bias by staying on top of what else is happening in the nutrition world.

mindset coach – the being: another thing i noticed was how my mood is affected by the food i eat. i became intrigued by nutritional psychology, and certified as a health coach through University of the Free State and With Impact master coach, Amanda Strydom. using the program and tools from Amanda, it took my coaching to the next level. my clients found breakthroughs with bad habits, unhealthy patterns of behaviour, toxic thoughts, damaged relationships, anxiety and suffering.

accountability coach – the doing: i flourish when i’m getting stuff done. i noticed i can do the same for others, so i added accountability coaching to my offering. i will hold you accountable for nutrition, mindset, sport, career, finance, personal growth and anything in between.

it’s not enough to know what you want to do, or to know who you wanna be. somehow, you’ve actually got to get there. this was the last piece of the puzzle for me. i find ways to push the boundaries and challenge my clients, while still showing enough support and praise to keep them on track. this delicate balance is a dance of trust and transparency, grit and vulnerability.
